Great review for The Harry Packer Mansion

November 30th, 2007 by Mariah

The little Victorian village of Jim Thorpe, PA is a scenic paradise nestled between three mountains in northeastern Pennsylvania. An oasis of history perfectly preserved, the architecture of the Village is purely Victorian. Perched high atop Packer Hill, the Harry Packer Mansion sits like a sentinel overlooking the town.

The mansion’s impressive facade could have been taken from a gothic novel, this is only fitting for the Mansion used as the model for Disney World’s Haunted Mansion! The interior however is anything but spooky. Fifteen foot ceilings, marble fireplaces and gilded mirrors of the parlors reflect the elegance of the Victorian Age. The guest accommodations in the mansion and the adjoining Carriage House are furnished with period antiques, luxurious fabrics, and carefully selected artwork. In addition to offering Bed and Breakfast accommodations the Mansion also hosts Murder Mystery Weekends and special events.

Ocean Wilderness Inn

November 21st, 2007 by Mariah

Ocean Wilderness Inn is a serene and comfortable retreat located on the shore of the Juan de Fuca strait looking across to the Olympic Mountains.

The Inn is a beguiling mix of rustic and elegant. The dining room is located in a vintage log cabin and coffee is served on silver trays. Old-growth forest embraces our English cottage garden. There is no TV, but there is high speed wireless internet. Our location encourages as much activity (hiking, birding, fishing, biking, kayaking, golfing etc.) or stillness (nap, soak in the hot tub, read, sip tea, count waves etc.) as you wish. When booking your get-away choose from rooms overlooking ocean or forest.

Atlantis A+ Review Perfect Place to Stay

November 9th, 2007 by Mariah

Atlantis House is the MOST PERFECT place to stay…. This was our first vaca in 15 years together alone and it will be the most remember able….. We were there for the end of fantasy fest, Halloween night and beginning of parrot head convention……

We are one of the awesome parrot heads and my hubby found the Atlantis house under bed and breakfasts in Key West and read the reviews and looked at pictures… Wow it’s great to look at the pictures and read the reviews, but things may be different… Not at the Atlantis house…….. Having a room off the beaten path was the greatest thing… You could go out and then come back and relax outside on the side deck area and still be close to your room door…..

I have recommend the Atlantis place to everyone that I have talked to since I have gotten home from vaca….

It’s quiet and relaxing and if you have any questions or wanna chat… Steve and Kayla R the BEST hosts to have…….. I give them a A+++++++++++++++++++++++.

Historic Lantz House Highly Recommended

November 9th, 2007 by Mariah

Staying at the historic Lantz House Inn has converted us from ever wanting to stay at a hotel again. We have stayed in 3 of the 5 rooms and each has been a total delight and a very restful sleep. The house and grounds are marvelous and I highly recommend it.

We are happy to welcome the Meyer Bed and Breakfast on Cypress Creek to our online directory!

Meyer Bed and Breakfast offers one of the most scenic, peaceful, and romantic Hill Country bed and breakfast getaways in Comfort, Texas. Since its beginnings in 1857 as a stage stop for travelers preparing to cross the Guadalupe River on the fabled Old Spanish Trail.
