Great review for The Harry Packer Mansion

November 30th, 2007 by Mariah

The little Victorian village of Jim Thorpe, PA is a scenic paradise nestled between three mountains in northeastern Pennsylvania. An oasis of history perfectly preserved, the architecture of the Village is purely Victorian. Perched high atop Packer Hill, the Harry Packer Mansion sits like a sentinel overlooking the town.

The mansion’s impressive facade could have been taken from a gothic novel, this is only fitting for the Mansion used as the model for Disney World’s Haunted Mansion! The interior however is anything but spooky. Fifteen foot ceilings, marble fireplaces and gilded mirrors of the parlors reflect the elegance of the Victorian Age. The guest accommodations in the mansion and the adjoining Carriage House are furnished with period antiques, luxurious fabrics, and carefully selected artwork. In addition to offering Bed and Breakfast accommodations the Mansion also hosts Murder Mystery Weekends and special events.

Atlantis A+ Review Perfect Place to Stay

November 9th, 2007 by Mariah

Atlantis House is the MOST PERFECT place to stay…. This was our first vaca in 15 years together alone and it will be the most remember able….. We were there for the end of fantasy fest, Halloween night and beginning of parrot head convention……

We are one of the awesome parrot heads and my hubby found the Atlantis house under bed and breakfasts in Key West and read the reviews and looked at pictures… Wow it’s great to look at the pictures and read the reviews, but things may be different… Not at the Atlantis house…….. Having a room off the beaten path was the greatest thing… You could go out and then come back and relax outside on the side deck area and still be close to your room door…..

I have recommend the Atlantis place to everyone that I have talked to since I have gotten home from vaca….

It’s quiet and relaxing and if you have any questions or wanna chat… Steve and Kayla R the BEST hosts to have…….. I give them a A+++++++++++++++++++++++. Bed and Breakfast Guide is pleased to have the Atlantis House a member of ours!

Historic Lantz House Highly Recommended

Staying at the historic Lantz House Inn has converted us from ever wanting to stay at a hotel again. We have stayed in 3 of the 5 rooms and each has been a total delight and a very restful sleep. The house and grounds are marvelous and I highly recommend it.

Overall Rating: 5 Bed and Breakfast Guide would also like to thank you for the review and thank the Inn for such an outstanding job!

Comments: The inn was very clean, with breathtaking views. We stayed 1 night to get away from it all. It was fantastic, very relaxing. We were impressed with the quality of the linen and the bed was very comfortable. Not all rooms have private bathrooms, and the TV’s are small, but that wouldn’t stop me from staying. If your looking for a romantic getaway or a clean, relaxing place to stay with the comforts of home, than I will not hesitate in recommending the Wolf Cove Inn. I’ll be back!

Comments: Wendy and David were so nice to us! This was our first getaway as a couple and it was truly memorable.

The room was romantic, the food was excellent, the fellow guests were wonderful, their route directions and recommendations were spot on, the Boxers(Lucy and Bella) were so adorable…basically we would gladly revisit Wendy and David next time we are looking to stay in Northern Michigan.

Bed and Breakfast Inn Review for Sabal Palm House

October 24th, 2007 by Mariah

Sabal Palm House Bed and Breakfast Inn has been left a review on Bed and Breakfast Guide

Stayed:October 10-12, 2007
Overall Rating: 5

Comments: While doing internet research for a nice getaway, the Sable Palm house really stood out because of its high reviews. This is certainly a place where its stellar reputation is enough reason to go. When we entered the B&B around 3:30 in the afternoon, we received a friendly greeting from the Husband, John. We were welcomed by a freshly baked batch of delicious cookies, and tea. This is available every day at 3:00. We stayed in the Renoir Suite, as there was a special going on at the time for that room. Let us describe the room: immaculately clean, fresh smelling, Renoir art everywhere, antique furniture, crisp white sheets, towels and robes that always smelled like fresh clean laundry, cable tv/dvd player, hard wood floors, antique desk, antique dinner table, HUGE King bed, bath goodies, our bed was turned down, and there were chocolates on the bed. We were the only guests there the first night, and John and Colleen invited us to go see the other rooms. They were all beautiful in their own different ways. We woke up every morning to a beautifully set-up gourmet breakfast. They have some lush bushes outside in the courtyard, which makes for a nice setting if you want to eat outside, or just take a walk. John and Colleen were always willing to help us with directions, and made sure we were always comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is very central to a lot of neat things to do in the city, or by the beach. My Husband and I had such a relaxing, romantic time there. It was so nice to unwind, and if you’re looking to do the same, there is no other choice but the Sabal Palm House.
