Woodstock, NY 12498

Woodstock, NY is the famous small town known ‘round the world for its artist colonies and home-grown music. In 1969, Woodstock became the symbol of the Age of Aquarius when it lent its name to a three-day love-in and rock concert — the town was on the fringe and tolerant of the hippie crusade but not the epicenter. Though the festival was ultimately held fifty miles away at Max Yasgur’s farm in Sullivan county – Woodstock village maintains an impressive array of vivid locales and locals that continue the tradition of flying a “freak-flag” with dignity.

Flower-Power devotees and New York City daytrippers flock to the community in peasant skirts and tie-dyed T-shirts, if but for a day.

And when day turns to night….THE WILD ROSE INN offers superior accommodations within walking distance to the heart of Woodstock village. Ms. Marti Ladd, innkeeper, cookbook author, and muse serves up the hospitality at this gingerbread manor with her own unique style and grace.
