Guest rooms are tastefully furnished with antiques and hand-made quilts on the beds, and several rooms have private balconies. Five guest rooms are equipped with Queen size beds, one with a King size bed and three rooms have full size beds.
Two suites and two shared guest living rooms are equipped with cable television.
The Bechtel is located 12 miles west of the Expo Center in York, Pa., and 18 miles Northeast of Gettysburg in historic Adams County. The distance to Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia, Pa., is approximately 100 miles. Founded in 1764, prior to the American Revolution by Pennsylvania Germans, the community of East Berlin was designated as a National Historic District in 1985 due to its unique and well-preserved architecture.
The community is well regarded for its unique Colonial and Victorian charm. The general area also offers excellent antique shopping, quality restaurants and good golf courses. It is a popular honeymoon and romantic getaway site.[noeditbeyond]
